OUR STRATEGY

ETHOS

Our investment ethos revolves around competitive advantages through life-long learning, management by trustworthy and capable leaders, while maintaining a long-term investment horizon. We emphasizes simplicity, investing within our circle of competence, preparedness, knowing our numbers, extreme patience paired with extreme decisiveness, and a commitment to fundamental principles, viewing investments as long-term partnerships rather than speculative transactions.

LIFE LONG LEARNING

Life long learning is at the core of our investment ethos. We seek to have a basic understanding of the fundamentals, and of the most modern thought in various investing-adjacent disciplines, not just economics, and mathematics but also psychology, sociology, and technology among others. Applying this multidisciplinary approach to real estate encourages objectivity and recognition of cognitive biases and distortions which enhances our ability to make well informed investment decisions.

BUY AND HOLD

Founded in 2010, we see Aveta as a young company positioned to perform for many decades.  A long term investment horizon allows us clarity in acquisition, to maximize compounding interest, and eliminating divestment costs.  Maintaining a long term perspective and leaning into the power of compounding is one of the most fundamental aspects of our approach.

ASSET CLASS DIVERSIFICATION

By focusing strictly on real estate investing, we are able to stay close to our area of competence.  Within real estate we believe in diversification between residential, and commercial. We manage long term rentals, short term rentals and niche market rentals, in established urban markets, more rural vacation areas and select foreign emerging markets.

"When the herd is running off a cliff, the one running in the opposite direction seems crazy"

When everyone zigs, we zag.
